The first generation of Manuel Rodriguez honed his skills under Jose Ramirez and Santos Borreguero, and after independence, he mainly shipped his products to Europe and the US, so he is not well known in Japan. However, his 118-year-old workshop is highly regarded.

Although this particular guitar is a flamenco guitar, it is built as solidly as a classical guitar, and when strung with classical guitar strings, it produces such a linear and enveloping sound that it makes you think it could be used as a classical guitar as is.

The neck looks straight and there are plenty of frets and a bridge.

I bought this from a collector friend 6-7 years ago with the intention of practicing flamenco, but my nails didn't last long, probably due to my age, and applying Araldite to my nails made them even more brittle, so I gave up.

Since then, I have stored it with the strings lightly strung and the holes covered with humidity control agent. Please note that there are signs of use overall.
