Some devices have a starting current that is higher than its running current so this allows for that*. This generator will run comfortably at 4kW as its ‘continuous’ rating but run it at a higher load and it will trip out.

XL4000ii – Electrical Connection

The XL4000ii has one UK standard 3 pin sockets which means no adapters are required and one 32A 240V (Blue socket) – this generator was designed in the UK for use in the UK!

It also has a 12VDC ‘car style’ socket for powering low voltage items and a 5VDC USB connector so you can charge USB devices directly.

Do inverter generators have low emission engines?

The higher the generator, the bigger the engine – the XL4000ii uses the SH320B 244cc overhead valve engine which is emissions certified to Euro V standard. This is the best petrol engine emissions standard currently available. 

Yet another step to help is the engine is designed with E10 petrol in mind – there is no loss of performance using this more environmentally friendly fuel type.
