Offered is a Vtg Art Deco 1930's Diehl Singer Ribbonaire Bakelite Fan High Speed Working but Low Speed is Not Working.

Designed by Philip Diehl a principle designer for Singer Sewing Machine.  Diehl's work revolutionized home sewing and estrablished Diehl Manufacturing as a major motor producer, even inventing the first electric ceiling fan. I see a few fans on eBay with the Singer name on them but not with the "Ribbonaire" name on them.

It is cracked at the base at the back bottom by the cord.  Ribbons are in good condition for their age.  When I initially plugged it in, it worked on both speeds but now it doesn't work on the low speed. I'm not sure how easily it could be fixed. It says to lubricate once a season with light oil so I'll try that to see it does anything.  It measures approx. 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" & almost 2" tall.
