Add an exceptional piece of authentic Depression-Era uranium glass to your collection with this beautiful covered pedestal candy dish. This compote is crafted in classic canary / vaseline yellow pressed glass and features bold diamond-quilted geometric banding with a matching teardrop finial lid. It dates to the late 1920s–1930s and is attributed to the Fenton Glass Company.
This dish glows a vivid green under ultraviolet light. All glow photographs in this listing were taken using a 395nm UV (black) light to accurately display its uranium content.
The dish measures approximately 6¼ inches tall and 5 inches in diameter and displays beautifully in both natural light and under UV illumination.
Condition is excellent vintage condition with no cracks and no repairs. This example has a visible factory inclusion within the glass body, formed during original production. The glass is smooth on both sides of the inclusion, confirming it is internal and not damage. The underside of the pedestal base shows light surface scratching from normal use consistent with age. No chips noted.
