This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is a beautifully restored, Real Deal documented Super Sport with great options! When it comes to American muscle cars, few models capture the power and style of the golden era quite like the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Widely regarded as the peak of the Muscle Car Era, the 1970 Chevelle represented Chevrolet's ultimate blend of performance, design, and attitude. For 1970, the Chevelle received a bold new redesign that made it one of the most aggressive-looking muscle cars of its time. The front end featured dual headlights integrated into the fenders, framing a distinctive split grille and a slotless chrome bumper with built-in parking lights. From the side, the Chevelle's flatter fenders and refined roofline gave it a more commanding stance, while the squared-off rear design added to its muscular, road-dominating presence. Performance reached new heights with the introduction of the Super Sport (SS)

Vehicle Description

Performance reached new heights with the introduction of the Super Sport (SS) package, marking the pinnacle of Chevrolet engineering. Equipped with powerful V8 engine options and high-performance carburetion, the 1970 Chevelle SS delivered incredible horsepower and torque, cementing its reputation as one of the most iconic muscle cars ever built. Signature SS details like special stripes, badging, and a blacked-out grille made sure everyone knew this was the real deal-a true high-performance legend from the height of the muscle car revolution. This particular Chevy Chevelle SS was purchased new in South Carolina and is a real deal Super Sport as evidenced by the copy of its original build sheet. Powering this '70 Chevelle SS is a 396 cubic inch V8 that breathes through a single 4 barrel carburetor. Exhaust exits the upgraded powerplant via a throaty dual exhaust setup complete with FlowMaster mufflers and correct "Cow Bell" chrome exhaust tips. The 396 Big Block V8 is mated to a TH400 Automatic transmission that is shifted with a "Horseshoe" shifter, making this iconic muscle car an easy and enjoyable car for anybody to drive. This Super Sport Chevrolet is loaded with fantastic options! With power front disc brakes, bringing this potent 70s muscle car to a complete stop is a total breeze, especially with all that horsepower under the hood. Power steering is another superb option on this 1970 Chevelle SS since the overall driving experience is much improved and it makes squeezing into a tight parking space at the local car show a simple maneuver. Further aiding with lane changes and parking efforts are dual chrome side mirrors that help ensure nothing is in your blind spot. You'll also be able to be sure that you'll keep the rubber to the pavement since this Chevelle Super Sport is equipped with a Positraction rear end. Riding on BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that are mounted on SS wheels, this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle has a fantastic look and even better ride. The exterior of this '70 Chevelle SS has been correctly refinished in Desert Sand gold metallic paint accented with hood and decklid SS stripes that completes the exterior look of this hardtop muscle car. The interior of this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is absolutely stunning! The optional front Strato-Bucket seats along with the rear bench have been reupholstered in black SS upholstery. The matching black SS door panels and headliner, black padded dash, center console, and sport-style 3-spoke steering wheel all appear to have been refurbished or replaced during this Chevelle's comprehensive restoration and all retain a wonderful stock look. Brand new embroidered floor mats further elevate the interior of this classic Chevy and help ensure that the carpet is protected. The instrument cluster is fully equipped, complete with a 120 MPH speedometer, 7,000 RPM tachometer, amp gauge, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge, along with a full-size clock. The dash is finished off with various controls, a locking glovebox, and even a push-button AM/FM radio so that you can listen to all of your 70s hits while cruising the open roads. Whether you're buying your very first classic car or you're adding to your existing collection of muscle cars, this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS would make an excellent choice.
