For fans, lovers and collectors: »Ultra | The 12" Singles«

sony Music Entertainment releases »Ultra | The 12" Singles« a new deluxe box set from the successful Collector's Edition.

The set contains eight vinyl maxis that feature the singles "Barrel of a Gun", "It's No Good", "Home" and "Useless". There are also exciting B-sides, mixes and live recordings from the time when "Ultra", the band's ninth studio album, came onto the market (release: April 14, 1997).

Three* maxi singles in the box set feature tracks that were released as CD singles in 1997. The covers of these discs, which are now appearing on 12" vinyl for the first time - with a newly compiled tracklist - correspond in their artwork to the original CDs.

“Ultra” was the first DM album since 1982’s “A Broken Frame,” which the band recorded as a trio (Martin Gore, David Gahan, Andrew Fletcher). With this LP, which features the classics "Barrel of a Gun", "It's No Good", "Home" and "Useless", Depeche Mode continued the successful tradition of releasing spectacular maxi singles to accompany their albums.

Even in the band's early days, Depeche Mode discovered the 12" format and fully exploited the innovative possibilities it offered. Maxi singles were made for exploring new sounds and the cover offered a large area for exciting visual experiments. DM fans loved these releases because they featured unusual remixes, rare B-sides or thrilling live performances.

The first sets of the edition - Speak & »Spell | The Singles” and “A Broken Frame | The Singles« - released in August 2018. “Construction Time Again |” followed in December of the same year The 12" Singles" and "Some Great Reward | The 12" Singles". The series continued in May 2019 with »Black Celebration | The 12" Singles« and »Music For The Masses | The 12" Singles«. »Violator | The 12" Singles" was released in July 2020 and the most recent edition, "Songs of Faith and Devotion | The 12" Singles", was released in October 2020.

Each box set in the series is dedicated to the singles from a specific Depeche Mode album. The tracks on the audiophile vinyl maxis were remastered from the original tapes. The design of the boxes is based on the original albums, and the artwork of the covers of the collected records corresponds to their originals.

The Depeche Mode 12" single series will continue in the coming years and is expected to be released in similarly configured, audiophile versions.
