Dthe last new songs

Rhino presents a very special live album from the Grateful Dead in 2019.

»Ready Or Not« brings together previously unreleased live songs from the early to mid-1990s.

As a reminder: The rock legends' last studio album was released in 1989 with "Built to Last".

In February 1992, the Grateful Dead began recording a new studio album. However, this album was never completed and the group disbanded in 1995 following the death of Jerry Garcia. Most likely, the unfinished studio album would have contained the songs that appear on "Ready Or Not."

Band archivist David Lemieux curated the nine-song longplayer with live recordings, performed by the line-up at the time: singer and guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummer Mickey Hart, drummer Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, singer and guitarist Bob Weir and keyboardist Vince Welnick.

Highlights of “Ready Or Not” include the Garcia Robert Hunter composition “Days Between,” Bob Weir’s collaboration with Rob Wasserman and blues icon Willie Dixon, “Eternity”; and two songs by Weir and Hunter, “Corinna” and “Easy Answers.”
