This is an original Resistol “The Bandit” W9477 straw cowboy hat in size 7¼ Long Oval, made in the USA and kept in excellent vintage condition.

The straw is clean, well‑kept, and shows no cracks or soft spots. The leather sweatband is in great shape with clear embossing and all of the original labels in place. The brim and crown hold their shape well, and the hat has been stored in a smoke‑free home.

This example retains its original factory ¼″ cloth band and feather cluster, a trim option offered on Bandit models during the late 1990s–early 2000s. This hat dates to approximately 1998–2003, aligning with the period when Resistol produced the Bandit with the matte straw finish, narrow cloth band, feather trim option..

This is a solid, ready‑to‑wear Western hat with genuine vintage character — equally suited for ranch work, rodeo events, or collectors who appreciate original Resistol craftsmanship.

SHIPPING:  This item is boxed and ready to ship.  Prior to boxing the inside of the hat was filled with a tissue paper material for support, then placed in a plastic bag with additional packing paper surrounding the entire hat.  The box (a Chewy pet food box - heavier cardboard) was lined with foam pellets on the bottom prior to the hat going in.  The hat is sitting on those foam pellets, surrounded again by more packing paper on all sides and the top.  The top is finished with 8 layers of bubble wrap before the box was sealed.
