Up for sale is this NICE! Vintage VAUGHAN #5224 "SUPER STEEL" 24 oz. Ball Peen Hammer With Original Wooden Handle. Made In The U.S.A. (see all pics & video). This VAUGHAN ball peen hammer still has the original 15-1/2" long hickory handle. (see pics). The 1-3/8" diameter hammer face has a few very minor dings on it (see pics). The ball peen looks like it has never been used at all (see pics). The hammer head has a few very very minor scratch and ding marks on all sides of it (see pics). Most of the original black paint is still on the hammer head (see pics & vid). The handle has NO cracks, breaks or repairs on it. But it does have a few very very minor overhit marks just under the hammer head, and some other minor ding marks on the handle too (see all pics). The makers mark: "VAUGHAN" "MADE IN U.S.A." is very much visible on the side of the hammers head (see pics). And on the handle it's marked "SUPER STEEL No. 5224  24 oz." (see pics). The head is securely mounted to the original hickory handle, NOT loose at all. The hammer head is 4-3/4" long. The total length of the hammer is 15-1/2" long. The total weight of the hammer is 1 pound 13.4 oz.
