2005 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes is a 200-card set released in August, 2005. The base set is based on the popular Baseball Heroes inserts of the 1990s, with the last 100 cards are serial-numbered to 575 copies each.

Each eight-card tin "pack" contains five base cards, one short-printed base set numbered to 575, one parallel serial-numbered to 199 copies or fewer, and either an autographed or game-used card numbered to 99 or fewer.
