ROCK JASMINE CAUCASIAN Androsace Albana - 20 Bulk Seeds

Rock Jasmine Caucasian Androsace Albana is a perennial plant native to the mountainous regions of Western Asia. Rock Jasmine Caucasian seeds can be started indoors, and these seeds must be covered very thinly to about the depth of the seed size to ensure germination. Androsace Albana grows low to the ground forming a just few inches high mossy mat which spreads to a few feed wide, and the showy, primrose-like, pink to pinkish-white Rock Jasmine Caucasian flowers appear in a beautiful spherical inflorescence. The attractive low growing alpine plant starts to bloom in spring and continuously blooms until July.

Rock Jasmine Caucasian is especially good for planting in a sunny rock garden, and this compact, trailing alpine flower is perfectly suitable for miniature rock gardens, containers, pots and flower boxes. Rock Jasmine does best outdoors grown in the company of alyssum, rockcress, alpine columbine ,and aubrieta. Androsace Albana seeds can be sown at any time but are best sown in winter or early spring to benefit from a cold spell in the wet compost to break their dormancy. If the seeds are started indoors, cold stratification is recommended. Once established, Rock Jasmine Caucasian grows best in full sun and requires almost perfect drainage, so gravelly banks in rock gardens are the best for growing Androsace. This perennial plant is short-lived, but it moderately self-sows in suitable locations.
