Here is a Fairbanks Morse Type J1B2 1 Cylinder magneto.  This will fit some 3hp FM ZC engines but not all of them.  It seems to be in pretty good shape.  It makes a good hot spark.  The threads are a little weak in the top hole, a bolt will still screw in and hold fine.  If not a nut can be ground down on the side and be used to hold it on the engine.  The bottom hole is not threaded and not supposed to be.  If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159

SPECIAL NOTE: This magneto is for a FM Z engine but not all of them, if you are not sure its what you need please ask questions before you purchase it!  I'm not taking a return because you have no idea what you're buying!

  • The mounting holes are 3-13/16" apart on center, the top one is threaded the bottom one is not.
  • Threads are a little weak in the top hole but it should be fine.
  • The raised center in the mounting area is just under 3-1/4" in diameter
  • Turn over fine just as it should.
  • Tapered shaft for gear mounting.
  • No wear can be felt
  • Weighs about 4.5 lbs before any packing material or box

I am a well known collector and dealer of antique gas engines, parts for them, and related items.  I try to list all my items very accurately so the buyer knows exactly what they are buying. Out of respect I ask you to please actually read the descriptions and look at all the pictures before buying or asking questions.  I am glad to answer questions but I’m not always that good at emailing people back. All of my items are listed “AS IS” and “NO RETURNS”.  If I make a mistake on my measurements or you feel something is not as described please let me know and I will try to make it right.  I think most all of my customers with a normal level of sanity are happy.

My shipping time is set for 5 business days, weekends and holidays don’t count.   I ship out most items quicker than that though. If you are worried about how soon I can ship an item please ask before you buy it.  I travel a lot and have a family so I am not always on call 24/7 when it comes shipping items. I think most people would agree that I do an extremely good job of packing items so I guess it's worth the wait.
