Water-soluble foil made of 75% Polyvinyl Alcohol. Weight 90 gsm. To protect against damp and drying out, store in a sealed bag.
An ideal product to enhance the definition and detail of an embroidery on problematic fabrics. The product dissolves when it comes into contact with water or steam.
- Place Solvy film between 2 lightweight fabrics (such as organza) and sew them all together.
- Place Solvy film underneath a lightweight fabric and sew the 2 layers together.
- You can even sew directly onto Solvy to create your own 'fabric'.
- It is stiff enough to work without a hoop.
- It can be used where all the backing needs to be removed after embroidery e.g. a badge or lace.
