»The Final Cut« is Pink Floyd's twelfth long player. The album was originally released on the 21st. March 1983. It is the last studio work with Roger Waters, who left the band in December 1985. At the same time, it is the only record on which keyboardist Richard Wright did not take part.

All twelve songs on “The Final Cut” were written by Roger Waters. The bassist and singer dedicated the album to his father Eric Fletcher Waters. It is subtitled “A Requiem For The Post War Dream.”

The album reached number six in the USA and reached number one in the charts in Great Britain and Germany.

The songs on the reissue were remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman. All reissues in the series are released on 180g vinyl. The cover artwork is the original design.
