This is a very pretty ring from, I should say the 1960's, Art Deco revival era.

Solid silver, stamped '925' and tested to a minimum Sterling purity, this is beautifully encrusted with 'black diamond' marcasites, each and every one in a rubbed over milgrain bead setting, a mark of quality, surrounding a central amethyst or similar facetted gemstone.

This was BLACK with tarnish when we acquired it, but it has been cleaned and polished up well.

The head of the ring is stepped, measuring 11.5 mm X 10 mm.

It is a UK size 'R', weighing 2.6 grams.
