From 1876, the complete official record of the trial of these seamen, who murdered two officers in rebellion against the brutal Captain William M. Patterson. The text includes the full indictment, trial transcipts, sentencing, etc. 

The book was issued in one edition as a fragile softcover volume. The copy for sale is in rather poor condition. The covers are absent. The text remains bound, but only just, by the original strings. The first and last pages show heavy wear, and there is additional wear and soiling to the remainder of the text. 

Still, the complete text of a very rare and remarkable document which elsewhere lists for as much as $550.
