Oreodonts lived in the Eocene period, about 30 million years ago. They lived in Nebraska in the White River Formation. They were about 5 ft and weighed 250lbs. Their name means "Mountain tooth" and these animals had impressive teeth. Oreodonts were herbivores and ate tough plants so the teeth and powerful jaws were necessary to chew. This is a genuine fossil with NO restoration.This fossil is the upper end of a limb bone, possibly Humerus or Ulna.  Saber tooth cats were their main predator.
