A 9” serving bowl round featuring a classic blue and white transferware landscape design. Enoch Wedgwood began as a member of the famous Wedgwood pottery family. After various partnerships, he established Enoch Wedgwood & Co. at the Unicorn Pottery in Tunstall, England, in 1860. The 'Countryside' pattern, with its idyllic pastoral scenes, became a popular design, embodying the charm of English transferware. The company later became Enoch Wedgwood Tunstall Ltd. in 1965, before being acquired by the Wedgwood Group in 1980.
