Details: This auction is for the antique Waltham pocket watch, made in Massachusetts USA in 1903.

The dial is white porcelain with black hour and minute Roman numbers around, black minute hands as well as the second hand at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is marked A.W.W. Co. WALTHAM MASS. The open case is silver. The back lid is adorned with engraved capital letter R in beautiful calligraphy.

 

Please not: This is a manual wind up watch not a battery run.

 

The watch has the following marks on the mechanism 12747018 (movement serial number) AMERICAN WALTHAM, U.S.A. ENSIGN.

The serial number indicates that the model is 1897, estimated production date 1903.

 

The coin silver case is produced by American Watch Case Company. The back lid is marked on inside A.W.C.CO COIN (Maltese Cross mark) 175810. This is the mark of American Watch Case Company.

Measurements: The watch measures approx. 1.9” across in diameter.

 

Condition: The antique Waltham pocket watch looks very good with very minimal signs of age, but needs service to fix it or can be purchased for parts. We didn’t polish silver leaving it to the next owner to decide whether polishing is required.
