Tom, written and illustrated by Tomie dePaola, is a 30 page, 8 1/4 X 10 1/2 inch hardcover book published by G. P. Putnam's Sons, New York. The copyright date is 1993 and this is a first edition: the copyright page states "First Impression" and the printing number line starts with "1." The author has inscribed the book "To Lauren" and signed ("Tomie '93") the title page.

The book is in near fine condition in a very good unclipped ($14.95) dustjacket, with illustrated boards and turquoise endpapers.

Synopsis - In this family tale, dePaola provides a collection of memories of his grandfather, Tom. The full-color, full-page illustrations on every page bring this tale to life.

Condition Details - The book has a square spine, a tight binding, and no marks, tears, turned down page corners, writing or wrinkles. The glossy cover has sharp corners and just a hint of edgewear, no rubwear, soil or stains. The dustjacket (in new, protective Brodart) has very light edgewear, with a 3-inch closed tear (well-disguised by the Brodart) at the bottom of the front panel. No unpleasant odors.
