Magnificent vintage religious medal in solid silver (French Minerva hallmark), round shaped.
The obverse shows an expressive face of Christ crowned with thorns: eyes closed, head gently inclined, features marked by both suffering and serenity. Flowing strands of hair frame his face, and the finely detailed relief conveys deep spiritual intensity and contemplation.

On the reverse, a confraternity cross is engraved, surrounded by the inscription “Cunfraterna di Santa Croce – Bastia”, referring to the Corsican Holy Cross confraternity.

A rare devotional medal of outstanding quality, with a moving representation of Christ that radiates both pain and peace.
