This is the French vintage design classic the SERJAC folding umbrella coat rack. The chrome frame supports 5 arms with coloured round Bakelite knobs on the ends. Perfect for coats, scarves or whatever you need to hang up. It has a wonderful sliding and folding action, so it can be laid flat against the wall when not in use.
Clearly marked SERJAC on the base, it has 4 holes at the top for screws to fix it to your wall and a 5th at the bottom. You will need to source suitable screws and drill your wall. It will look wonderful in any hall, porch or kitchen near the back door, or even fixed to the back of a bedroom or bathroom door.
Superbly French but also with a funky Space Age atomic sputnik style, from an era when colour and futuristic design were the height of post-war era home fashions.

In VERY GOOD vintage condition. It is strong and functional and most of the chrome is remarkably unblemished. There is a rough patch near the top, shown in close up photos. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a used piece of this age. Please see ALL photos and remember it is around 60 years old, pre-owned and pre-loved.
