This is a quart milk bottle from the Athens Co-operative Creamery in Athens, Georgia. The co-op was formed by local farmers in order to comply with pasteurization rules. The co-op operated in the 1940's.
On one side, the bottle states, "We recommend Better Maid Ice Cream". Also, "Protect Our Children Drive Safely" and the profile of children crossing the road.
The lettering is in perfect condition. The bottle has no chips or cracks. The bottle was made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company, and is dated 1949.
