When you power on the unit, a distorted screen like the one in Image 17 persists for a while. Based on several checks, the image stabilized after a few minutes.
After testing game compatibility, all cartridges I had on hand played fine. However, each required several insertions and removals before booting up. It seems better to insert them slightly shallower.
