Beautifully illustrated by the author with twelve tipped in colour plates all with captioned tissues and additional black and white drawings,
Slight foxing on a few pages and there is also some signs of foxing down the leading edges of the pages. No creased corners to the plates, no colouring in to the b/w illustrations and no torn pages. 
Firmly bound in the original grey cloth boards, decorated and lettered in gilt on front board and spine. Ver slight rubbing to corners of the boards. Overall a very nice copy.
