This is a stunning and most endearing locket from, I should say, the 1950's, possibly '60's.
It IS hallmarked, what looks like 'UU' or some other mark, as well as stamped '925' and 'Germany' to the bale. It has additionally been tested to '925' Sterling silver standards.
It is a a beautiful 4 picture locket, designed as a miniature Holy Bible.
It measures 20mm (27.5mm including the bale), X 15mm and it weighs a solid 6.3 grams, including its chain. It has a secure and solid hinge and closes with a secure and reassuring snap. I
It has been extensively cleaned as it was dark with grime and patina, but it has polished up wonderfully well.
