Three 7-inch vinyl singles with previously unpublished recordings by David Bowie in a box!
After the four-singles box "Spying Through a Keyhole", which will be released in April, parlophone will continue the series of unpublished David-Bowie demos with the 3x7-inch singles box Clareville Grove Demos. To the 50th The box with a total of six Homedemos, of which four have remained unpublished so far, appears anniversary of his first big hits "Space Oddity". The box with the three singles documents another stage of the early Bowies trip to the superstar and shows its development as an artist and songwriter.
Recorded in January 1969 in David's apartment in the London district of Clareville Grove, presented the demo session, which was recorded directly on tape, David in the duo with John “Hutch” Hutchinson, after the Feathers trio, which also included David's girlfriend Hermione Farthingale.
Photography on the front of the box and the pressure in the box comes from David's manager Ken Pitt and was created in the apartment in Clareville Grove, which David shared with Hermione. David's short haircut was another episode of the film role in "The Virgin Soldiers" and is reminiscent of his look during the "Berlin era" ten years later.
As in the vinyl single box "Spying Through a Keyhole", every single was designed as David sent its demos on record companies and publicists: with handwritten song titles on emidisc-acetate labels. All singles are mono and are played on 45 RPM.
The shipping takes place in special record boxes.
