antique petticoat crinoline black made in Paris unusual mid 1800s original

antique unusual black petticoat with very stiff bottom
1. this a taffeta type material
2. the ruffle, from where it is sewn on, to the bottom is stiff
3. the ruffle looks like taffeta but is very stiff, crinkles, would make a nice sound when walking
4. top 1/2 about the stiff ruffle is fully line with cotton
5. have shown photo of the Paris, Gold Metal label, there are two
6. this item has some problems
7. someone altered the waist, they did poor job, it does button
6. there are some small tears in the bottom, probably from getting walked on
7. there are a couple of short tears, that have been mended
8. some very small holes, all in one area
9. this can be worn, it is sturdy

1. waist 28 in., the waist area could be fixed and may larger or smaller
