PHILCO 37-60 CATHEDRAL RADIO  FOR SALE

TESTED & FOUND TO BE WORKING WELL ... 


THIS CATHEDRAL RADIO WORKS AS WELL AS A 1930'S RADIO IS GOING TO WORK.   ...  IT HAS GOOD VOLUME AND A LOT OF STATIONS ON THE DIAL.  BECAUSE OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE ERA,  NOT ALL STATIONS COME IN WITH THE SAME VOLUME .... AND THERE IS A BIT OF HUNTING AROUND ON THE DIAL TO FIND SOME STATIONS.  THE NEW OWNER SHOULD ATTACH A GROUND WIRE TO BACKSIDE GROUND SCREW.  IT WILL HELP IMPROVE  THE RECEPTION.  
THE CHASSIS HAS BEEN RECAPPED AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE LAST GALLERY PHOTO.   THE WORKMANSHIPS IS VERY GOOD.  

FLAWS:  THE PILOT LIGHT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THE STATION GRAPHIC IS BADLY WORN IN SOME SPOTS.   I COULD NOT GET ANYTHING ON THE SHORT WAVE BAND.

THE SHELL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY VERY LITE WEAR IN SPOTS.
