porcelain table lamp,
commonly known as a "George
and Martha Washington Lamp"
or "Courting Couple
Lamp".
These style lamps have been referred to by collectors over the years as George and Martha Washington Lamps. Despite the popular name, the figures on the lamp actually represent wealthy members of the French court of King Louis XV in the mid-1700s, often inspired by paintings from artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
The lamp is made of porcelain or ceramic, a marbleized appearance on a teal background with gold trim accents.
These lamps were commonly produced in the mid-century era (around the 1940s-1960s) in the USA and are no longer being manufactured.
Approx Measurements: 26” Tall (to top of finial), 6.75” Wide, 13.25” Tall (LAMP ONLY, NO HARP), and the Base is 4.75” Wide.

Pre Owned. Excellent used condition with no visible chips and no cracks. Some wear at the base on the gold trim.
