Having played and recorded with Bob Dylan, the Blues Project, Mike Bloomfield, Stephen Stills, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many others, Al Kooper was already a living legend by 1974. Broadcast that October on KSAN-FM, this rare solo performance finds him playing guitar, keyboards and vocals on an intriguing, emotionally charged selection of material, and is presented here with background notes and images.
