Krylon® Kamar® Varnish is a synthetic varnish which protects artwork like traditional damar, however without the impurities and yellowing. Artists can continue to rework the painting and it can be safely removed by conservators for restoration.

Kamar Varnish will protect acrylic and watercolor paintings, and can also be used on oil paintings. It is especially popular for protecting works made with alcohol inks. The varnish can be used on canvas, wood, metal, plastic, paper mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, paper, and more.

Kamar Varnish dries to touch within 15 minutes and dry to handle in 2 hours.

Please note: we recommend testing this product before applying it directly to your work. Also, we advise you use this in a low humidity environment. High humidity and over application can cause cloudiness to the surface.
