For sale is a rare, thirteen-book lot of Haruki Murakami trade paperbacks featuring now-out-of-print covers by artist John Gall. Included in this lot are "A Wild Sheep Chase," "Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" "Norwegian Wood," "Dance Dance Dance," "South of the Border, West of the Sun," "The Elephant Vanishes," "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle," "Sputnik Sweetheart," "After the Quake," "Kafka on the Shore," "After Dark," "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman," and "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running."

The books have various cover and edge wear, including creases and bends, and general reading wear.

"A Wild Sheep Chase" has a slight bend to the top right corner of the front cover and a retailer's price sticker on the back cover.  "Hard-Boiled Wonderland" is slightly warped, so that the center of the book makes a wave.  The corners are rounded and the top left corner of the back cover is bent.  There is also a retailer's sticker affixed to the back. "Norwegian Wood" has light edge wear to the top of the cover.  "Dance Dance" has a small crease/tear on the bottom edge of the front cover and some light edge wear around the spine. "South of the Border" has a little wear at the top of the spine and the bottom right corner of the front cover is slightly creased. "Elephant Vanishes" has more edge wear to the corners and spine, and there are some marks/impressions on the front cover. The bottom right corner of the front cover and the top left corner of the back cover are a little bent. "Wind-Up Bird" has some edge wear and rounded corners. The top edge of the back cover has several small gouges/tears. An embossed stamp from a previous owner is at the bottom of the fly leaf. "Sputnik" has several diagonal creases running up from the bottom edge of the front cover. The corners are rounded. There's some wear to the bottom of the spine and some creasing to the top edge of the back cover. "After the Quake" is in excellent condition.  "Kafka" has heavier edge wear, with a slight tear where the front cover meets the top of the spine. The corners are jagged and rounded. Page edges have tanned and show moderate reading wear.  A previous owner has written a name in pencil on the fly leaf. "After Dark" has some curling to the top of the front cover and the corners are rounded or curled. "Blind Willow" has a small crease at the top edge of the front cover and some wear to the bottom right corner. There are some marks near the top of the spine and a crease on the bottom edge. "What I Talk About" is in very good condition.

Overall, this lot of rare books is in good condition.
