A beautiful, entirely handcrafted crystal vase, square in shape with a modern design, created by renowned designer Helena Tynell for the equally renowned Finnish manufacturer FINN CRYSTALL. The vase dates back to the second half of the 20th century, between 1960 and 1980. We also have another one, in green crystal, for sale in our eBay store.
Useful information for the evaluation of the object:
In our online searches, we found that the four highest prices for Helena Tynell found on Artprice range from over €3,000 to over €7,000, giving you an idea of the artist's importance. We also found a lot of vases in different colors, identical to ours, listed at €800-1000 and sold for €400 by Stockholms Auktionsverk in Helsinki, Finland, at the "Modern Art & Design" auction held from April 17, 2023 to April 23, 2023, lot 265 entitled "Vaser (1964)". The €800-1000 price tag is very high for such small vases, and it is still penalizing because it is a lot, which is usually always valued less than the sum of the value of each individual vase belonging to the lot. Furthermore, the auction went particularly poorly, which can happen at auctions: the lot probably didn't sell initially and then, at the end of the auction, the same lot was sold for half its price, as often happens with unsold lots.
(By Googling the information about the items we list, especially the title of the auction or sale listing in the same language as ours, the date, the lot number, and the auction house or the name of the sales website, you will most often be able to find and view the items mentioned.)
