The Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is the subject of the 1967 Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate. “featuring a huge oak tree in a forest with a man riding a horse in the foreground.
The design was created by Kai Lange and is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Diameter just over 7 inches (18 cm), pierced foot for hanging wire. Appropriately marked on the back, including the three wavy line trademark of Royal Copenhagen.
EXCELLENT CONDITION (no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing) and FIRST QUALITY (no scratch through the trademark). A handsome plate!
