LED Front Grille Emblem Installation Instructions

Tools Needed

• Trim removal tool (plastic pry tool)
• 10mm socket (if applicable)
• Flathead screwdriver (small)
• Microfiber cloth
• Isopropyl alcohol (for surface prep)
• Electrical tape or heat shrink (recommended)

Step 1 – Prepare Vehicle

1. Turn vehicle OFF.
2. Open hood.
3. Locate the back side of the front grille.
4. Clean the grille surface area with alcohol to ensure proper fitment.

Tip: cleaning the surface helps prevent debris from interfering with fitment.

Step 2 – Remove Factory Emblem

1. Access the rear of the grille through the engine bay.
2. Locate the clips or retaining tabs holding the OEM emblem.
3. Carefully press tabs inward while gently pushing the emblem outward.
4. Remove the factory emblem from the front of the grille.

Important:

• Do NOT force the emblem
• Avoid breaking grille tabs
• Use plastic trim tools to prevent scratches

Step 3 – Install LED Emblem

1. Insert the new LED emblem into the grille opening.
2. Align mounting tabs with factory mounting points.
3. Press firmly until clips snap securely into place.
4. Confirm emblem sits flush and centered.

Step 4 – Connect Wiring

1. Route wiring through grille toward engine bay.
2. Connect power wire to:
   • DRL circuit
   • Parking light circuit
   • Ignition fuse (using fuse tap recommended)
3. Connect ground wire to metal chassis bolt.

Typical wiring:

• Red wire = positive power
• Black wire = ground

Use electrical tape or heat shrink to secure connections.

If you have no power first attempt to swap wires.

Step 5 – Test LED Function

1. Turn ignition to ACC or start vehicle.
2. Verify LED emblem illuminates properly.
3. Check for:
   • consistent brightness
   • proper color function (if multi-color model)
   • secure wiring placement

Step 6 – Finalize Installation

1. Secure wiring away from moving parts.
2. Close hood.
3. Confirm emblem is fully seated and aligned.

Installation complete.

Installation Tips

• Professional installation recommended if unfamiliar with vehicle wiring
• Do not overtighten clips
• Ensure wires are clear of radiator fans or hot components
• Works best when connected to DRL or parking light fuse
