1991 Press Photo Hair Dresser Sherry Ditko Gives Hair Cut to Liane Herrick

This is an original press photo. Ten year old Liane Herrick of Cortland gets her hair cut Monday afternoon at the YWCA as part of the ninth annual Back to School hair style cut-a-thon. Sherry Ditko, of Sherry's Fantasy beauty salon i Cortland, is doing the cutting. The YWCA hoped to have around 100 people show up to get their hair cut. The hairdressers are local professionals who donate their time to the and proceeds from the $5 cuts got other events sponsored by the organization. The haircuts went from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cortland YWCA on Clayton Avenue. Photo measures 10 x 8 inches. Photo is dated 08-27-1991.
