Here is a fascinating discovery: an unknown LP titled Blue Star Camp 1980 of modernized Israeli and Jewish folk music. The first track is an unbelievable, heavy prog-ish rendition of a Yemeni song titled "Bisabasi (Pilpelon)." The rest is more or less straight traditional music with rock instrumentation and nothing that quite approaches the lead track. The album is strictly a DIY, truly "private-press" affair with no record label. The booklet insert just contains lyrics and dance instructions. Then is only the second copy of this we've ever seen (we found and sold the other copy in 2017). The vinyl has some light scuffs and marks on the play surface.
