Antique 18th c. Calibrator Compass Wrought Iron Tool for Science or Masonry
- For your consideration is an early measuring tool
- It is a blacksmith made wrought iron compass or calibrator
- Most likely used in masonry, but could've been in some scientific way
- Circa 18th century or earlier, possibly Continental
- All original
- Measurements: Approx. 6.25" x 1.5" x 0.25"
- Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos below. All original. Oxidation consistent with the age, it is stuck, we have not been willing to force it, possibly will easily become flexible with WD-40 or similar
