This wooden ema (shinto prayer plaque) measures 3.5" tall and 4" wide and is a unique and nostalgic collectible item that showcases traditional Japanese craftsmanship and design. Made in Japan, this item embodies the cultural significance and history of the region and with its distinctive wooden construction and historical significance as a souvenir, this piece would make a valuable addition to any collection of Japanese collectibles or cultural artifacts. 

The ema in this listing is from Tsuwano in Shimane Prefecture, known as the "little Kyoto of the San'in area". This ema and others in my store were purchased some time during the late 1960s-late 1980s.
