This geta (traditional Japanese sandal/clog) shaped mini tsuko tegata measures 4" tall and 2.5" wide and is a unique and nostalgic collectible item that showcases traditional Japanese craftsmanship and design. Made in Japan, this item embodies the cultural significance and history of the region and gave the holder both permission to pass within an area and blessings for a safe journey. With its distinctive wooden construction and historical significance as a souvenir, this piece would make a valuable addition to any collection of Japanese collectibles or cultural artifacts.

The tsuko tegata in this listing is from the Lake Biwa Bridge on the Oku-Hiei Driveway on Mount Hiei. This tegata and others in my store were purchased some time during the late 1960s-late 1990s.
