After you had great success with your first single from the "Frogstomp" album, "Tomorrow", Silverchair published the second single "Pure Massacre" a little later. She was a successful successor to the first single and achieved good chart placements in Australia, New Zealand and the USA. According to interviews with lead singer and guitarist Daniel Johns, the song and his text are inspired by the Bosnia War.

The EP "Pure Massacre" is part of the Silverchair Collection, presented by Music on Vinyl. "Pure Massacre" is available in a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on Green Marbled Vinyl and contains a side dish with other titles from the Silverchair Collection.
