The brilliant conclusion of the LED Zeppelin-Reissues

In composition theory, a coda - from the Italian for a train, tail - denotes the final part of a work in which the leading topics are summarized. JIMMY Page titled the last studio album Led Zeppelins, two years after the death of the drummer John Bonham and the band's official dissolution, suitable as "Coda". The eight titles of the album were previously unpublished, recorded between 1970 and 1978.

The circumstances under which John Bonham on the 25th September 1980 had died, hit high waves. In a bed in JIMMY Pages Haus in Windsor, the drummer suffocated on his own vomit while sleeping. Excessive alcohol consumption was always cited as an explanation. The other members of Led Zeppelin decided quickly to dissolve the band. In a press release, they declared it impossible to continue without Bonham.

For the fans who did not want to forget LED Zeppelin, bootlegs soon circulated with unpublished material. Rumors say that the band had to release another album to fulfill its contracts. There were still a few pieces from the recordings for "In Through The Out Door". And JIMMY Page went to the archive for the first time to view the unpublished recordings and thus fill an album.

The buyers of the first six LED-Zeppelin-Reissues already convinced the following points:
  • Differentiated and transparent Sound quality
  • First -class Spatial sound: Every instrument can be easily localized
  • New Knowledge: To listen to details well
  • Valuable Bonus material: Companion-LPS or -CD
  • Original cover the first edition (only Super Deluxe Edition)
  • Many never seen before Photos (Book of the Super Deluxe Edition).

"Coda" is the only one of the LED Zeppelin Deluxe Editions with two Companion Discs with a total of 15 songs that were recorded between 1968 and 1974. The oldest song of the collection, the feverish blues jam "Sugar Mama" was recorded in the Olympic Studios in 1968, in the sessions for the debut album. The song was finished, but has never been released. "Baby Come on Home" also comes from the same session. The previously unpublished track »St. Tristan's Sword «is an exuberant instrumental that was recorded during the LED Zeppelin III sessions in 1970.

JIMMY Page and Robert placed in 1972 on a legendary trip to India to appear there with the Bombay Orchestra. The recordings of this session are now being published for the first time. Other highlights include an early version of "When the Levee Breaks" entitled "IF IT Keeps on Raining" and the instrumental mix of "Poor Tom" from 1970. From the physical graffiti sessions there is a raw mix of "The Wanton Song" and another alternative version of "In The Light".

With the 2015 Reissue from »Coda«, the cycle of the LED Zeppelin new editions closes. JIMMY Page announced that there were now nothing to publish in the archives. The whole series recognizes the legacy of the Hard Rock pioneers on the most excellent. "Coda" sets the final point without which the collection is not complete.
