A dense, heavy black and white jade toggle in the shape of a gourd plant with vines and fruit.
The lighter jade has a greyish-brown cast with lighter colored inclusions. The “black” skin is a matrix of darker and lighter brown, when viewed under magnification.
There is a gold colored metal ring to aid as a pendant. The carving is deep and rounded with attention to the artistry of the gourds. The jade is soft to the touch and a soft hand-polished surface. The light-colored jade contrasts beautifully with the black jade skin.
