This is a DELL INSPIRON 14Z-5423 laptop (Dell Inspiron-14z-5423 14" i3-3217U 1.8GHz 8GB 250gb SSD drive + 1tb SDXC card + DVDRW Win11 Pro 25H2) that has been cleaned and upgraded to a nice snappy digitally licensed Windows 11 Pro 25H2 machine and is updated through at least 11/25) ready for use as a great lightweight Internet browsing, e-mail, and general-purpose laptop.  It includes the laptop, a Dell 65W power adapter, laptop manuals files on the desktop, a NEW battery, a new CMOS battery, a 1TB SD storage card, some basic installed programs that I recommend, and more!  Please read and see that this is a lot of laptop value for the price and what's included!  **PLEASE NOTE -- the listing pic shows Win 11 Pro 24H2 -- this has been updated to 25H2 since then and now has the current latest 25H2 version** 

**I have replaced the laptop battery and CMOS battery** (I have repaired/refurbished many of these Inspiron 14z-5423 laptops).  

***Note:  As this laptop battery is new, for optimal life and performance it should be "conditioned" by discharging it down to 10% or so then recharging fully, then repeat that process 2-3 times.

This machine has been completely gone over and everything functions as should.  

All drivers are installed properly (see pic) and this laptop works flawlessly with Win11 Pro 25H2.  

I have downloaded all the 14z-5423 manuals and placed them on the desktop for your convenience.  

I have upgraded the DDR3 memory to 8gb (2 x 4gb max for this machine)

I have upgraded the original standard SATA hard drive to a *NEW* Patriot 256gb P220 SSD drive so it provides better performance than a mechanical SATA drive and is in perfect condition.

I have added a *NEW* removable 1tb SDXC card for storage purposes.  This laptop does NOT have the additional 32gb mSATA drive included with some 14Z-5423 models.

This laptop has Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, a built-in camera and microphone array, and an 8X DVD±R/RW drive.  I have installed free versions (may be upgraded if desired) of Glary Utilities, Anyburn, and Faststone Image Viewer/Editor as well as Firefox, Google Chrome, Thunderbird, and a GodMode Folder.  This laptop also has Libre Office Suite 24.8 installed and I am discounting it accordingly below pricing for my listings that have an activated Microsoft Office 2021 Pro Plus (NOT subscription Office 365) license installed.

**KNOWN COSMETIC-ONLY FLAWS FOR THIS LISTING** (please see pics):  missing rubber feet, some small plastic areas on case are missing (but do not affect functionality in any way), palmrest has some loose areas (but do not affect functionality in any way), missing door that covers USB, HDMI, and RJ45 ports (but does not affect functionality in any way).  Also there may be some minor scratches/scuffs on outer case, some normal wear on the keyboard and touchpad

This listing has the 14" glossy (not matte) screen that is excellent condition and has the standard Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. 

This listing does NOT have the additional discrete Radeon HD 7570M graphics.

This machine is otherwise VERY clean with minimal wear and scratches and fully functional.  I take pride in repurposing these older machines that still have plenty of life in them when not pushed beyond their reasonable limits.  This machine is very snappy for an Intel Core i3 processor so don't let that fool you into thinking it is very underpowered.  Now, it does take a bit longer to boot (compared to a Core i5 or Core i7) but once into Windows 11 Pro it is very snappy.

I sell these machines as projects to repurpose them and only make a little profit to cover the replacement parts and time spent to reduce e-waste and tossing these otherwise very capable machines into landfills.   If not using a Bluetooth mouse I suggest buying a wireless USB mouse with a dongle for this laptop - which works flawlessly with this laptop and as a plug-n-play device.  Note that although this laptop has Bluetooth, not all Bluetooth devices may work well with it - however, using an inexpensive Bluetooth mouse will free up your USB ports.
