Love this one -- total mid-century road-trip vibes!

Family picnic in the Mojave Desert -- the spiky trees are Joshua trees, which pretty much pins it to the Mojave (very likely around what’s now Joshua Tree National Park or nearby desert basins in SoCal). Even better, they're traveling in a 1955 Ford Country Squire “woodie” station wagon (faux wood panels, two-tone paint, round ’55 tail lamps). The plate looks like a yellow-with-black California plate, correct for that period.

A classic roadside picnic: red/white check cloth, Aladdin-style thermos, paper cups, while Dad appears to be teasing Mom with some desert critter (likely a lizard or horned toad).
