These glass jars were used for Ben-Hur coffee, a brand that also played a role in the war effort by encouraging the return of empty jars for reuse during the 1940s.

The jar in the image features the "DRIP FINE CUT" label, indicating the type of coffee it originally held.

Some of these jars are also known as "Hoosier jars" due to their design for use in Hoosier cabinets.
