An original watercolour painting by listed artist Jack Savage (1910-2003).

It is a sunny coastal view, looking over a small beach where a single boat is moored, across the neighbouring fields where there are stooks of newly harvested hay.  A bright blue sky above with just a little cloud rolling in.

Signed lower left 'J Savage', has part of signed label verso which is inscribed and signed by the artist 'Salthouse, Nr. Shering ('ham' missing).  I think this must have been cut from below the painting at some point in the past.  Estimated to date to the 1970s which is when the artist moved to the East Anglia area.

Painted on watercolour paper and in very good original condition, the only point to note a very faint spot mid sky to the left of the clouds.

Well presented with an ivory coloured card mount within a polished wood frame. The mount is in excellent condition, the frame has some small signs of age but still presents well.

Glazed and ready to hang.

Measures 55 x 68cm including the frame, the visible painting only is 35 x 44cm.

Postage £8 to mainland UK.   Overseas postage with the ebay global shipping service.
