If you're looking for an interesting alternative to traditional box topiary, then this ceanothus could very well be it.
Californian Lilac is one of the hardiest and easiest to grow of the ceanothus family. It has a naturally compact habit and will look wonderful on a patio or balcony, and especially good in pairs on either side of a doorway. All it needs is a trim after flowering and again in late summer to keep it in shape.
The pale blue flowers look amazing against the glossy evergreen foliage and they form a spectacular cloud of colour during May and June, attracting a host of butterflies and other pollinators into your garden, making it invaluable for supporting our native wildlife.
This variety even holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is recommend as a 'Plant for Pollinators'.
Supplied as an established plant in a 2-3 litre pot, ready to plant.
