Arrtx OROS Artist's Grade Alcohol Marker Set 90 Colours, Brush and Chisel Tips, Professional Art Marker Pen Supply:

Tips for Gradient Creation With Alcohol Markers:

  • 1. Selecting the same or similar colors within the same value range is a key factor in achieving smooth color transitions.
  • 2. Creating a gradient from light to dark. First, fill in the whole area using the lightest value of the marker. Then, using medium or deep tones, fill the areas you want to be darker. Finally, use the previous light-value marker to blend and blur the border between the two colors before the ink has dried. With some practice, this will create beautiful, smooth transitions between light and dark colors.
  • 3. Creating a gradient from dark to light. Use a dark color marker to fill the space you want to be dark. Then, use a mid-tone marker over the dark part to blend and blur the border between dark and mid-tone. Finally, fill the remaining space with the light marker and blur the border between mid-tone and light tones.

The Best Way to Use and Store Your Markers:

  • 1. Due to the special performance of alcohol-based markers, the color of the markers might look and behave differently depending on which type of paper you use; so the best option for consistency and blending ability is to use your markers on paper created specifically for alcohol markers.
  • 2. A better way to open your markers: gently rotate the pen cap to unscrew it instead of using lateral force to unplug it.
  • 3. In order to prevent ink from drying out, please replace the cap on the marker soon after you use it.
  • 4. To ensure the performance of alcohol markers, these marker pens should be stored horizontally.
  • 5. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Children should use these under adult supervision.
